Chemung County Department of Aging to Host Medicare Open Enrollment Event October 20, 2026
The Chemung County Department of Aging invites Medicare beneficiaries to a Medicare Open Enrollment Tabling Event on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at New Beginnings United Methodist Church, 300 East Miller Street, Elmira.
The event gives residents a chance to review their current Medicare coverage, learn about available plan options, and prepare for potential changes in benefits and costs for 2027. Medicare's annual Open Enrollment Period lets beneficiaries review and change their Medicare coverage for the upcoming year. Because coverage options, premiums, and benefits can change annually, reviewing existing plans is an important step in ensuring that individuals have coverage that continues to meet their healthcare needs.
Local insurance agents and brokers will be available throughout the event to discuss their Medicare plan offerings and answer questions. A representative from the New York State Elderly Pharmaceutical Insurance Coverage (EPIC) program will also be available to provide information about prescription drug assistance for eligible New Yorkers.
